How we help

We help with the things inside your home, taking the time to find each one the right next home.

Selling with patience

Good pieces go to buyers who value them, not to whoever turns up first.

Giving to good causes

Useful things go to the local charities and churches you choose.

Passing things on

Keepsakes reach family, with the stories that make them matter.

Settling an estate

We help families honor what a loved one left, rather than simply emptying the house.

Döstädning: a gentle way to begin

Döstädning (often written dostadning) is the Swedish practice of sorting your own belongings in the later stages of life, while every choice is still yours. It's how we like to work, and it isn't sad at all: it's about more room for life now.

The order we work in

  1. Storage first

Attics, garages and closets, where decisions come easily.

  2. Large to small

    Furniture first, then everyday things.

  3. One question

Will anyone be happier if I keep this? If someone comes to mind, it goes to them.

  4. Photos last

Once the house is lighter, there's time to enjoy them.

Questions

Is the first visit free?

Yes, with no obligation.

Isn't it quicker to just clear everything out?

Quicker, but most of a household's value is lost that way. A little more time keeps far more of it.

Do I need to be moving?

No. Many clients simply want a lighter home.

Do you help with the move or selling the house?

No. We focus only on your belongings, and we're glad to work alongside whoever helps with the rest.

Not sure where to begin?
